Emergency services are for patients who need urgent treatment, including resuscitation and referral to the hospital if needed.

This unit has two ambulances and the primary use of our ambulance is to respond to emergency calls within the university and refer patients to other clinics / hospital if necessary.

Critical emergency
Emergency cases with signs of danger and unstable vital signs.

Non-critical Emergency
Emergency cases with no signs of danger and stable vital signs.

Types of emergency cases:

1. Difficulty breathing (abnormal or difficult breathing due to breathlessness)
2. Fainting / Unconscious
   
3. Shock
4. Heart attack
5. Anaphylaxis
   
6. Accident / serious injury /severe bleeding
7. Severe abdominal pain
8. Burn
9. Seizures
10. Obstetrics emergency cases (labor or miscarriage)
11. Drowning victims
12. Poisoning
13. Animal bites / stings
14. Mental disorder with aggressive behaviour
    
15. Stroke.
