In the event of an emergency, how should I contact the Pusat Kesihatan UTeM?

In the event of an emergency, you can call the emergency line at 06-5534439 from Monday to Friday except public holidays.

Does Pusat Kesihatan emergency line work 24 hours a day?

No, Pusat Kesihatan emergency line operates from 8am to 7pm (subject to extended hours) only from Monday to Friday except public holidays. In the event of an emergency after 7pm on working days, call 999.

Are Pusat Kesihatan services provided at the Technology Campus?

Yes, Pusat Kesihatan is available at the Technology Campus and its operating hours are from 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday except for public holidays.

Can students or staff come for treatment after office hours?

Students and staff can get treatment after office hours during extended week only at the Main Campus.

What time of the week is the time extension?

Extended week hours start from Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm except for public holidays. Time extensions are only made during lecture weeks and short semester holidays. During the long semester holidays there is no extension of time.

Are health screening screenings available at Pusat Kesihatan UTeM?

Yes, Pusat Kesihatan provides health screening services for students and staff.

Are health screenings open every day?

No, health screening is only done on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 am to 11 am only.

Does Pusat Kesihatan have a laboratory to conduct blood and urine tests?

Yes, Pusat Kesihatan has a laboratory to conduct blood and urine tests.

What type of blood tests are conducted in the laboratory?

The blood tests carried out in the laboratory are the disciplines of microbiology, immunology, hematology, parasitology, and drug laboratory.

Are dental treatment provided by Pusat Kesihatan UTeM?

Yes, Pusat Kesihatan UTeM provides dental treatment services.

Can I get a back-dated MC (medical certificate)?

No. The MC is a recommendation for leave from work / class on the grounds of medical illness diagnosed by the doctor after medical consultation and examination has been made. It is unethical to issue a MC without examining the patient.

When should a request for medical standby be made?

The application must be submitted to the Head of PKU at least two weeks prior to the program. We reserve the right to reject any application if it overlaps with other programs.

Do I need to bring a guarantee letter (GL) when seeking treatment at government hospitals?

Yes, so that students can get free treatment at government hospitals.

Can I claim my hospital bills from the university?

Yes, any hospital / clinic bills from the government sector can be claimed at PKU. Students will need to bring the receipt as proof of payment before claiming. Students can also download the form from this website.
