Assalamualaikum Wbt and Good Day,
Y.Bhg. Datuk / Dato '/ Datin /Prof./Dr./ Sir / Madam,
“Bring your unused or expired medication back to us for safe disposal”
What do you do with your unused or expired medications? Do you throw them in the garbage? Or flush it down the drain? These actions can cause pollution to earth.
Why? Because medications that are thrown down the drain ended up in the ocean, where it can have negative effects on the marine environment.
Medications in the domestic garbage are not only easily accessible to children, pets and wildlife, but once they reach the landfill, it could enter the leachate collection system and eventually wind up in the marine environment.
