DENTAL APPOINTMENT AT UTeM HEALTH CENTER ONLINE

 

An initiative from the Dental Unit, UTeM Health Centre in collaboration with En. Wan Zailimi Bin W. Abdullah, Lecturer of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM) has created an online appointment booking system:   

    

“PKU DENTAL E-APPOINTMENT”.

 

Advantages of the Online Dating System

1. 24 -hour convenience: facilitates customers to gain access to the system.             
2. Save time: customers do not have to wait long at UTeM Health Centre.            
3. Customer satisfaction: customers can choose the appropriate time slot (depending on availability).           

Dental services at UTeM Health Centre are for:

1. UTeM students
2. UTeM staff
3. UTeM Staff Family (open only on semester breaks)

The dental treatment provided at the UTeM Health Centre is as follows: 

• Mouth and dental examination
• Scaling and polishing
• Tooth extraction
• Patches

Type of service

i. This Online Appointment system service is for walk-in cases only.             

ii. For emergency cases, should immediately seek treatment without booking an appointment slot.            

                Cases of dental emergencies are as follows:

• Strong toothache with a pain score of 7-10
• Swelling due to toothache followed by other systemic symptoms
• Production of pus due to swelling
• Traumatic mouth and tooth injuries
• Patients with low immune systems with extreme toothache

Starting January 1, 2022

 

Appointment Slot Booking

1. Customers who wish to book a slot will use the system as per the link provided.   
   
2. Customers are allowed to choose any appointment slot, as early as 3 days from the date the booking is made (subject to availability).   
3. Next the customer will receive an e-mail whether the appointment is accepted or rejected.   
4. One appointment slot is limited to one patient only. For customers who want to cancel the appointment slot that has been booked, can contact the PKU counter at06-2701430.   
5. The client must be present at the clinic at the time of the appointment that has been made together with proof of booking (email).   
6. Customers who attend the UTeM Health Centre still need to go through the COVID-19 symptom screening (triage) at the front counter. If the customer has related symptoms and does not pass the screening, the appointment slot booking is cancelled and a new appointment needs to be made.            
7. Customers who do not follow the appointment time will not be accepted and will need to book a new slot.
