COVID19 - KP Kesihatan virtual press conference
Undertaking quarantine at home clearly did not stop Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah from reporting on the current developments in the COVID-19 situation to Malaysians as he was scheduled to take advantage of social media to do so today.
According to a statement from the Corporate Communications Unit of the Ministry of Health (MOH), their "General of War" is expected to hold a live press conference via the MOH's official Facebook page from his residence without the presence of media personnel at 5.30 this afternoon.
Dr Noor Hisham will hold a virtual press conference every day and will still answer questions from the media.
Dr Noor Hisham is currently undergoing self-quarantine at his residence as he also attended a meeting at the Prime Minister's Department last Saturday attended by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Seri Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri who was confirmed positive for COVID-19.
Following the confirmation, Dr Noor Hisham canceled the press conference scheduled yesterday.
Since COVID-19 hit the country at the end of last December, Dr Noor Hisham and his team held regular press conferences to inform about the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic in MOH, Putrajaya.
